And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember.
So is there anyone who will be mindful? -
Surah Al-Qamar (54:17)
Our Educational Offerings
At NorthWest Islamic School, every Saturday is an opportunity for growth. Our carefully designed
programs blend Quranic education, language learning, Islamic scholarship, and character development
into a rich, engaging experience. Each program is tailored to meet students where they are — inspiring a
love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
Our students build a lifelong relationship with the Quran through dedicated study and practice.
Quran Memorization & Recitation (Hifz and Tajweed)
The Quran is the heart of our school. Our Hifz and Tajweed program guides students through the beautiful art of Quranic
recitation with proper pronunciation (makhaarij), melodic rules (tajweed), and memorization.
Whether a child is beginning with Surah Al-Fatiha or working toward completing their Hifz, our experienced
Quran teachers provide patient, personalized instruction that builds confidence and devotion.
Islamic Studies
Understanding the fundamentals of Islamic faith – the oneness of Allah, the Prophets, the angels, the books, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree.
Learning the practical aspects of worship – prayer, fasting, charity, and daily life according to Islamic guidelines.
Walking through the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and drawing timeless lessons from his example.
Exploring the sayings and traditions of the Prophet ﷺ to develop a deeper understanding of Islamic ethics and conduct.
Character Development & Leadership
Inspired by the hadith, "The best among you are those who have the best character" (Sahih al-Bukhari),
our character program goes beyond the classroom. Through workshops, mentorship, discussions, and
real-world scenarios, students develop honesty, empathy, responsibility, patience, and the leadership
skills to be positive influences in their communities.
Community Service Projects
Islam teaches that service to others is an act of worship. Our community service program engages
students in meaningful projects – from supporting local charities to organizing school-wide drives –
teaching them the joy and responsibility of giving back.
