What days and hours does the school operate?
NWIS operates every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the academic year (September to
June). The school office is open on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
What ages do you serve?
We welcome students from ages 6 to 15, organized into four levels: Early Learners (ages 5-7), Junior
(ages 8-10), Intermediate (ages 11-13), and Senior (ages 14+).
What subjects are taught at NWIS?
Our curriculum includes Quran Memorization & Recitation (Hifz and Tajweed), Islamic Studies (Aqeedah,
Fiqh, Seerah, and Hadith), and Character Development & Leadership. We also engage students in
community service projects.
How do I enroll my child?
Enrollment involves four simple steps: (1) Submit the Admission Form with required documents, (2)
Attend a family interview, (3) Receive confirmation and pay fees, and (4) Attend the orientation session.

What are the tuition fees?
Tuition is $550 per student per year. Sibling discounts and financial assistance are available. Please see
the Admissions page or contact the school office for current fee details.
Is financial aid available?
Yes! NWIS believes no child should be turned away due to financial circumstances. We offer fee waivers
and financial assistance on a confidential basis. Families can apply using the Fee Waiver Application
Form available in our Forms section or from the school office.
What is the dress code?
Students are expected to dress modestly and neatly. Hijab is encouraged for girls. Clothing should be
appropriate for an Islamic learning environment - no inappropriate images or slogans. Please see our
Policies page for full dress code guidelines.
Do you provide lunch or snacks?
NWIS does not provide lunch or snacks. Students should bring their own nut-free, halal snack or lunch
for the break period. On special occasions and events, food may be provided by the school or parent
volunteers.
What is the attendance policy?
Regular attendance is essential. Parents must notify the school before 9:00 AM on Saturday if their child
will be absent. Excessive unexcused absences may result in a meeting with administration. Please see

How can I volunteer at NWIS?
We welcome and greatly appreciate parent and community volunteers! Opportunities include event
planning, fundraising, and more. Complete the Volunteer Registration Form to get started - we'd love to
have you on the team!
How is my child's progress reported?
Student progress is communicated through report cards, parent-teacher conferences held twice a year.
We encourage parents to reach out to teachers at any time with questions about their child's
development.
What happens during Islamic holidays?
NWIS observes major Islamic occasions including Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and the beginning of Ramadan
and the school schedule may be adjusted during Ramadan. The school is closed on Eid Saturdays. Check

Is transportation provided?
NWIS does not currently provide transportation. Families are responsible for drop-off and pickup. We
encourage families to coordinate carpools, and our parent community is always willing to help with
transportation arrangements.
How do I resolve a concern or complaint?
We encourage open communication. Start by speaking directly with the relevant teacher. If the concern
remains unresolved, submit a Conflict Resolution Form (available in the Forms section). The school administration will respond within 5 business days. Our full Conflict Resolution Policy is outlined on the

Can my child join mid-year?
No, Mid-year enrollment is not possible.
